Protect your spirit in 2022

With social media being the center of connection to the world and access to just about anything you can think of and with all the content jumping out at you, it’s hard to filter out what you see and hear. Before you know it, you may spend over an hour with the world jumping out at you all at once. So let’s say for two hours straight, you are being pressured with a everything now perception. Go now! Spend now! Do now! Be now! Which is not realistic to you’re path, time or financial standing. This is why after hours of scrolling you feel down or suddenly have the urge to do something or make a drastic change.

I’m a believer in God but Im not a regular church goer. So I’m going to use this analogy… Social media has become the worlds 24/7 church where everyone and anyone can preach or fellowship at anytime and all the time. It’s a great convince but you can clearly see how too much of anything or the wrong thing can be a bad thing. So I’m saying all that to say this filter your content. Chose to follow positive inspiring pages that encourage you or motivate you in a good way and manage less content or unfollow pages that are not beneficial to your mental and spiritual health. I guarantee you will notice a difference in your mood and energy. How do you know what to follow, what to manage and not to follow? Simply notice how the content speaks to you. How do you feel after scrolling that page? Encouraged? Sad? Angry? Inspired? You don’t have to unfollow everyone one but you can manage the content by the settings or by monitoring your time spent scrolling. Also try taking time out of your day to meditate on what you saw and heard so you can filter out the bad and learn what you need to and forget what is not beneficial to you. This is how you can protect your spirit in 2022.
